On Sunday 23rd February 2020, the World Wide Fund for nature in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities and the Uganda Wildlife Authority, hosted the World Wildlife Day Marathon. This is one of the activities that are carried out to create awareness of the importance of wildlife and also involve the stake holders in the conservation a gender,
The theme of this year’s World Wildlife Day is “Sustaining all life on Earth.”
While the theme for Uganda is “sustaining all wildlife in Uganda for the present and future generation”
The guest of Honor was the Deputy right Hon speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah who said that the tourism industry is the country’s leading foreign exchange earner and glad that the conservation process was being taken up seriously by all the different stake holders.
